First off, happy Easter everyone. I hope you all have a great day.

We all know what Easter is about. So I won't bore you readers with a bit of history.

What I will do is share with you something, well, odd.

It's coming round midnight here, so this little bunny has been busy! Getting the baskets, the candies, the gifts all ready.

And one of the things we do in my house is leave an offering.

of·fer·ing (ôfr-ng, fr-)
n.
1. The act of making an offer.
2. Something, such as stock, that is offered.
3. A presentation made to a deity as an act of religious worship or sacrifice; an oblation.
4. A contribution or gift, especially one made at a religious service.

What got me is definition #3.
A presentation made to a deity as an act of religious worship or sacrifice; an oblation.

Now at Christmas, we leave oats for the reindeer. We add glitter and sugar to make it "shiny". We also leave cookies and milk for the Jolly Old Elf.

At Easter, we leave a plate of carrots and (tonight) spinach.

Now we all know what Easter is about, but are we (or people like me) a bunch of closet-pagans?

Just a silly thought for a late night.

The Easter of now, takes away from what we should really be focusing on. I think this holiday has been taken over by greedy companies.
closet pagan?~ that thought has rolled around in my head more times than I like

Wait now I am confused as Hell... To get my Jolly Rancher jelly beans - do I need to sacrifice a virgin or not? I ask because this poor girl is making one heck of a racket and if I don't really need her it would probably be best to just put the ether away and let her go....

Let the girl go, unless you are planning a run for the Senate.

The Easter Bunny only requires carrots and some leafy greens.

Greedy companies have capitalized on everything from Cristmas to Arbor Day.

Embrace the pagan-side and enjoy your beliefs.
