I want to start out and end with poems by Emily Dickinson.
"Silence is all we dread
There's Ransom in a Voice-
But Silence is Infinity
Himself have not a Face." -E.D.
Eyes Open
Soaring the clouds on a magic rug.
You glide over closely with a warm hearted hug.
Charming words flew all through the air.
These young, clueless feelings seemed too rare.
Then the eyes of realization open wide.
I look over slowly and see your snide.
Sorrow now spirals like a vortex of wind.
Thought you had told me that you were my friend.
Pulled me along on a string you once made.
Slicing me quick with one keen blade.
I know my heart shall soon come to rest.
I comprehend sadly to this lengthy test.
"In this short life
That only lasts an hour
How much -how little- is
Within our power."-E.D.
Thanks for reading.
Peace and love
