Families of Black Watch troops posted to Iraq are being forced to pay to send them gifts. The Ministry of Defence have cancelled the previous free-delivery service because they state that troops in Iraq are no longer 'at war'.

When the Black Watch were on their first tour of duty in Iraq last year, Army bosses covered the cost for relatives to send parcels from home to cheer up our boys.

Now the penny-pinching MoD have stopped the service because, astonishingly, they claim we are no longer at war in Iraq. Yesterday, disgusted relatives of Black Watch troops condemned the decision as our boys spent their second day in Iraq's terrorist- infested Triangle of Death.

This does not come as a shock at all to me, knowing what a penny piching bunch of misers the MOD are. It is not so long ago that families of troops posted to warzones had to purchase body armour as the MOD didn't supply them to every soldier (although I believe that even some of the US troops in Iraq are in a similar predicament).

What is going on? Blair's Government is happy to waste thousands on MP's expenses, Political Correctness and other wastes of taxpayers money, but won't help the very people they sent out to fight in Iraq.

Its a complete disgrace.

The MOD has been suffering a lot of budget cuts lately. If it weren't for idiots like Tony Blair, the MOD might have the $ nessesary to send the parcels for free.

Blair is so scared of Losing the election and the Opposition is so desperate to win it when it comes, that they will both strip mine funds out of the bare bones of the UK Force's arse to fill the coffers for election promises.

Not only are the UK Armed Forces having to make huge cuts in personnel and the premature retirement of ships aircraft and equipment and units, but key re-equipment programes are being delayed or cancelled.

Now UK troops families do not even have the delivery service to keep in keep in touched with loved ones because the skinflints have the nerve to say that the warzone is not a warzone. Tell the insurgents then and bring the UK troops homeif there is no war! Or better yet tell the mugs in Parliament, Treasury and the MoD to go over there and take over themselves if it is so safe!

It is a disgrace.
