I don't know anything about Coronal Mass Ejection, Can you tell me what that thing does?

what are you even asking? it says it's from August 2012 so obviously it's not pertinent to us now, so i'm wondering if it was the fastest measured CME, then why debate it?

I guess that's pretty fast indeed since it usually takes these things a day or 3 (??)

The velocity of a CME can vary greatly depending on the initial energy that created it. Some are very slow and some are very fast...

...I'm not sure what it is exactly that you want to debate.

By the way, I'm also not too sure about your video being from August 31st (as described by the YouTube uploader). Here is the CME from August 31st, and it had a speed of 500 km/second (over 1 million miles per hour), which is about average for a CME (some can move 6 times more quickly and some 10 times more slowly). This one does not look the same as in the YouTube:

It is true that some CMEs can travel faster than others -- the AVERAGE time it takes to hit Earth is 3 or 4 days, but some take longer and some come more quickly. I admit I don't know what the fastest ever was, but I suppose 1/2 day to reach Earth does not sound that far-fetched.
