Maybe Samsung should just buy AMD.
AMD needs the 14 nm Fusion Chips now. Call it the A12.
That should speed things up.

Check the Market Cap.

Why would Samsung buy AMD? They wouldn't and Samsung have actually publicly quashed that same sort of rumor a few months ago.

Samsung are concentrating on ARM.

CPU profit margins are impressive.
Samsung could buy just a 5% stake in AMD.

It takes about one year to get a CPU onto retail shelves once the chip reached tape out status. GPUs on the other hand are expected to need about three to six months.

AMD sells the Fusion APU.

Quad Core + GPU bundled on the same chip.
See A10.

What about it? I already know that. Intel also sells quad core + GPU bundled on the same chip.

So does Samsung and Nvidia with ARM chips.
