This should come as no surprise, the new gun grab is about to come to full power, not till next year anyway firstread.nbcnews.com...

Friday's school shooting in Connecticut prompted a renewed effort by lawmakers to re-evaluate gun rights, as a top Democrat vowed Sunday to introduce new legislation on the first day of the new Congress next year.

Some things that you need to consider:

Will it bring about a new Brady bill?

Should the ban on semi autos be allowed?

Should the ban on high-capacity clips be allowed ?

Should the ban on sale to privet citizens of mil and police style fire arms be permitted?

Should there be a limit on the amount of ammo one could buy in a week month or year?

Should there be a ban on the type of and caliber of ammo one can buy?

Should there be stricter regs. on the way one keeps fire arms, gun safes, gun locks, removed bolts and no ammo in the. same place ie in the house car, and or on person
Should one be held accountable if there weapon is stolen, this would do no good if the said person is already dead.

Should the BATF have the right to come at there choosing to inspect the way one has there Fire arm(s) stored?

Should there be no ban at all, it is the right of the US citizen to own, buy and have as many and of any type of fire arm he/she so wishes to have , after passing the current back ground checks, laws(CCW) and paying for the FFL permit.
pleas feel free to respond on any or all questions for yes there is a need for something what that is is still unknown, but there needs to be away of not having the senseless mass killings any more, some would argue that one killing is senseless, this might be true... but then a mass killing is even more.

To answer all your questions, gun control means only the criminals have them. Oh, and the police and army.

I'm certain no one is going to knock on my door and ask for it politely. If they come for it, they most likely will do so assuming that I wouldn't give it up. So they most likely will appear aggressive from my vantage point.

Sigh...I agree with you. They'll have to come take it. Nothing good will happen that day

I'm beginning to think it just might be a good idea to ban guns after all,
... but only in hard core and borderline blue states.

I don't believe the gov't will be going door to door confiscating firearms. There will be tighter regulations and possibly a mandatory 3-day waiting period before purchase. There may also be limitations on the amount of ammo purchased (i.e. no more than 100 rds per day). This might only apply to certain weapons/ammo.

Someone with a .22lr might still be able to purchase 1,000 rds at a time but not .223.

I also believe we won't be getting the M1 Garands and Carbines back from Korea any time soon. Could also mean shutting down the CMP or atleast requiring the Garands to be sent through a gun dealer vice delivering directly to your house.

But, honestly, there will not be a "GUN GRAB."

I really would not be so sure. Obama has got everything he has wanted up till now. I can see them giving us a grace period till we must turn them in so they can make sure plenty of UN troops are hear to enforce it. They will find some slick way to cut us off.

I think people misunderstand what semi auto means. Most hand guns and a good amount of rifles and shotguns are semi auto, meaning one pull of the triggers produces one round being fired. No hammers need to be cocked, no bolts need to be cycled, etc. it does NOT mean full auto. People also need to realize you can buy a 20 or 30 round clip for .22 rifles, handguns, shotguns.....MOST guns. "Assault rifle" is a moronic term. Are there assault knives? And what about people who shoot competitively? Are they not allowed to buy and shoot the rounds they need to practice? Some people make a legitimate living shooting or training firearms. Some people also Depend on guns to hunt food or protect their livestock from predators. The media sensationalizes the AR15 the same as they do pitbulls. The .223 round that an AR15 shoots is found in MANY other guns as well, most just don't come with the cool banana clip. I have a 5 round clip for my AR15, is it still an assault rifle?

To everyone debating this issue please read this letter written 12 years ago by woman named Mary Carpenter who has more of a "right" to speak on this issue than any of us. www.examiner.com...

Sorry, don't see it happening. It would be impossible to account for all of the firearms for this to have any real affect. Also, the Constitution would need to be amended and there are too many gun owners in too many states to allow ratification. The fear of a gun grab will only mean more firearms and ammunition being sold in the next few months.

No, there will be no "gun grab" only stricter laws on the purchase of firearms and ammunition.

I was really hoping the Korean M1s would be coming home, but I guess they'll just end up going to some 3rd world country to be used against their citizens.

Gun Ban Legislation needs to be immediately attacked on Constitutional grounds. The same for Executive Fiat orders (but one has to wonder why that wasn't done with the "sporting" requirement for shotguns when they basically banned the clip accepting shotguns and classified them as "Destructive Devices").

Will it bring about a new Brady bill? Will they try? Yes. Should they? No.

Should the ban on semi autos be allowed? NO

Should the ban on high-capacity clips be allowed ? NO

Should the ban on sale to privet citizens of mil and police style fire arms be permitted? NO

Should there be a limit on the amount of ammo one could buy in a week month or year? NO

Should there be a ban on the type of and caliber of ammo one can buy? NO

Should there be stricter regs. on the way one keeps fire arms, gun safes, gun locks, removed bolts and no ammo in the. same place ie in the house car, and or on person ? Hell NO

Should one be held accountable if there weapon is stolen, this would do no good if the said person is already dead? Not unless we have unquestioned right to use lethal force including mantrapping in defense of the weapons.

Should the BATF have the right to come at there choosing to inspect the way one has there Fire arm(s) stored? NO

Should there be no ban at all, it is the right of the US citizen to own, buy and have as many and of any type of fire arm he/she so wishes to have? YES

after passing the current back ground checks, laws(CCW) and paying for the FFL permit. CCW and FFL should be done away with as well as any/all registration rules. All free American citizens are covered by the second amendment.

pleas feel free to respond on any or all questions for yes there is a need for something what that is is still unknown, but there needs to be away of not having the senseless mass killings any more, some would argue that one killing is senseless, this might be true... but then a mass killing is even more. The best form of prevention is to arm and train any citizen who wishes to be armed.

They are pretty much listing every gun crime/incident/threat to push their agenda. Look at the list below the photo on their front page
