Private for profit prisons lobby the government for stricter laws, more rules and stricter regulations. This ensures that the prisons stay full.

Tax payer money is redistributed and given to run these prisons. This alone allows them to make a nice profit but wait theres more. Now they can generate more money by "employing" their prisoners...

Disappointed with her "market value" reference at the end. Its a completely manipulated system with government involvement and mandates having little to do with the free market.
