Hello, I am wondering if the search engine lists newest posts to oldest(from top to bottom)? I do not see anyway to tell when it was posted unless entering the thread. The reason I am asking, is because there may be many pages on subjects searched.

So if I do not see any matches in the first couple pages, is it safe to say there probably has not been a thread made about what ever subject/name I searched? So I don't have to search multiple pages.

Thank you in advance for the help.

Here's a trick I use. My search engine is StartPage (it searches using Google, but doesn't record your IP address). I do my search using StartPage, thusly:

nibiru abovetopsecret

Then, in the lefthand pane of StartPage, I choose a timeframe:

Anytime
Past 24 hours
Past week
Past month
Past year

Couldn't be simpler....

I always type 2012 into the ATS search. Works for me.
I sometimes find old posts by typing in an older year too.
