This is just getting so weird, if this is true. Apparently the original FBI agent who initiated the investigation was a friend of Kelley's. After initial looks he forwarded the complaint to the Cyber Crimes division of the FBI. The agency felt he was becoming obsessed with the case and removed him from it. There are also claims in the article that some "anonymous" source observed Kelley touch Petreaus suggestively under the table.

Also I read in another article also at Wapo that Petraeus was NOT going to resign because he thought that the affair would not become public.

It is a long article but worth the read.

New details about how the Federal Bureau of Investigation handled the case suggest that even as the bureau delved into Mr. Petraeus's personal life, the agency had to address questionable conduct by one of its own—including allegedly sending shirtless photos of himself to a woman involved in the case.

HE'S the whistleblower! I remember reading about an FBI employee going directly to a Congressman because his superiors were holding on to the info about Petraus until after the election. This guy did the right thing, and now he's being tarred for it. What a crock.

Yes you are correct. He is the one that went to the Congresscritters ostensibly because he thought the investigation was getting deep sixed.

The Congressman he went to was Eric Cantor a man that has absolutely no reason to cover this up two weeks before the election. He isn't being tarred and feathered for anything. He also isn't a whistle blower. Really it sounds more like this particular agent was having an affair or at least trying to, with the woman that was receiving the emails from a jealous Ms. Broadwell.

Unbelievable - no wonder they wont identify him publicly.

Seems to be lies covering lies covering lies.

It is just looking like a giant sized episode of One Tree Hill to be honest about it. The sad part is we can't even get to the who did what when on certain issues people really want answers to until we sort out the random bed hopping going on here.
