I managed to get down to Newark and WV787 is there, the additional spray nozzle is still present under one engine but has been partially removed from the other side, there is also a display concerning the aircrafts spraying activities and, for completeness sake, here are a few pictures;

Comparison of your pics with a 1970's A&AEE report indicate that the spray-rake shown in the display appear to be slightly different from that originally used for icing research (a different rake, the alternative role rake, was used on WV787 for Biological Warfare research).
