Reunited
By 200Plus

Like wine colored water
My sorrow surrounds me
I've opened myself
to release my guilt

I've grown weary
Of living a dream
And finish the lie
That enslaves me

Hands that once held her
Move flesh with steel
They offer my soul
And end my pain

Vision fades, memory flares
My lover's embrace
Welcomes me
As I grow cold

I've avoided darkness
Since she was lost
And find her again
As I lie in shadow

Reunited again
All I leave
Is sorrow and pain
And wine colored water

This poem struck a sad tone in me of the grief of loss and losing someone. Nice use of wording. I'm guessing red wine, so it has definitely has a poignant meaning. S+F

Yea, I wrote it during dark days indeed. Thanks for responding and I'm sorry it too so long to get back to you.

I am happy to see that my meaning came across in the poem.
