Okay....

Another member posted an original puzzle to solve yesterday and I had fun working on it.
www.abovetopsecret.com...

So I decided to post something original to me and my family.

It is a "secret" language we have used to communicate within our family for years. Unfortunately
everyone that used this language has died and only I am left with the secret.

My family called this "Cussing" and we would use it for fun and to stay sharp, and of course, just in case,
it would or could be used in a dangerous situation to communicate secretly in front of others.

So here goes....A short message for you to decipher....

Mum yak nun a mum eee i sus gug i lul. I mum a tut rur u cut kus dud rur i vuv eee rur fuf rur o mum
tut eee x a sus. I lul o vuv e pup u zuz zuz lul ee sus.

So there ya go....a secret language you can teach your children. It is pretty unique.

u2u me if you figure it out please so others can have some fun...

My name is Gil. I'm a truck driver from Texas. I love puzzles.

Hope you don't use that for any valuable family secrets. It's about as secure as double ROT-13 encryption.

Yep, that's it.

Not for family secrets

But I always imagined a scenario where the family was held captive or something and
we could use this to set up a counter-attack to free ourselves....like....

you distract him and I'll hit him

Got it as well.

One last thing....as a written language this is not very effective but when spoken it is very confusing
and nearly indecipherable....we only spoke this aloud.

Thanks .. it is quite clever

it remind me a bit when i was working on the phone(IT) with the customers
asking for their names when they call
i hate loosing time with names on the phone trying to search them in the system
so this letters system was very usefull

A- Alpha
S-Sierra
G-Golf
L-Lima
Z- Zoolou
Y-Yankey
etc ..

but its not a very secret language .. everyone use it

As kids my extended family used avanish. You put the syllable "avan" after every syllable. It is quite repetitive, but for short messages, when spoken quickly, it is a mess.

Instead of "yes" we'd say "yavaness savanir" ("yes, sir") I remember using it to agree on a story when dealing with the police while in college.
