Distance is an accepted part of life.

Nature uses distance for trees to grow. Our eyes need the proper distance to focus. It is completely natural and espected.

Our mind is subjective, not physical; the realization of thought (our senses) is interpreted by the human being, therefore crossing mental distances to understanding (decoding and reflecting) are common tasks to the sentient being.

Our thoughts operate on our own unique version of translating reality throught the belief systems that compose the "individual".

Since causality (action and reaction) is ruled by choice from the observers, the universe is a pure reflection of mental forms being integrated to the concrete experience from what sentient beings believe is "real".

The mind is a place of war and the integration of multiple entities. Any cell of the human body is the representative genoma of the full physical individual; but one cell does not operate thought, in fact you need a brain to do sense thoughts. A brain needs a complete biological vessel, with all parts functioning perfectly by keeping ther distance in tasks for the individual to be a part of the world.

From atoms, to molecules, to cells, to organs, forming into a biological entity and finally creating the individual "Ego" (physical mind).

Nature requires billions of years from a planet to evolve sentient creatures.

The planet needs a special "distance" from the Sun for it to acchieve temperatures where life can expand to millions of species. Our sun exploded many times before gathering the required materials it has today - all the big gaseous planets act as shields to protect the inner planets where life "could" be happening - keeping their silent, intelligent distance.

Mentally developed biological beings need the proper evolution to carry out inteligence, a distance from "older versions" of themselves, ruled by a natural process of mutations or artificial manipulation of their genetic material from evolved sentient beings.

Distance is always the means of growth to the universe.

There is a great distance between fear and acceptance, control and freedom, our Ego and all there is to be understood. Where your mind stays (or mostly focus) define what you believe and therefore reflects in the physical part of the universe by your actions.

Inside the mental levels of the individual, what we believe creates subjective entities, much like a biological evolution, where mental forms populate our mind, batlle and die from constant change in perception.

Mental forms are part of the process of reflection: they are more defined and influential as the individual belief in their existance (as the perceived distance with the physical world is minimal).

These forms reside in subjectivity mental levels and can be experienced in dreams or by imagination. The word "imagination" means "not real" and so is this unique creation from the observer to contemplate.

The conection with imagination requires biological "stability", a stress free environment or the will power from the observer to keep a distance from the physical world and perceive his own beliefs. All the above creates the perfect conditions for reflection.

And here is the tricky thing: by reflecting, the observer is going against his nature of Ego preservation in the physical world. Why study if I can party all night?

The Ego is the regulator of the observer: preserves the individual, the identity, the collective (sexual urges), the biological being and it´s dependencies. At the same time, the Ego functions on the decoding of the world, painting the level of safety from another individuals or objects in their counterpart thought forms.

Ultimately, conscience can only go where the Ego allows it to go. This duality represents the distance between the perceived self and the actual self.

This is a serious matter..... trying to deduce spirituality from facts are hard, are of course perception is
very biased by the observer.

I was going to say something, but it was just a reverberation of what you already said, so I changed my mind. Good thread.
