first let me say i realise ATS is not a infrastructure company,
that said this is a coalition to ensure the internet stays free and open.

so it should be of interest to all websight operators that rely on that infrastructure to function.

The coalition came together out of a group of companies like this who helped fight against SOPA and PIPA, knowing that such laws were bad for infrastructure providers (AT&T and Verizon, in the meantime, remained mostly quiet on SOPA and PIPA). At the very least, having these players stand up and speak out about how the internet infrastructure is made up of a bunch of players beyond the big telcos would be good. Too often those guys drive the discussion, often at the expense of other important players...

so the question is will the ATS team recognise the need to secure the rights of websights to continue to flourish?

NOTE only companies can join so this is not member solicitation,
more of an excuse to hear from staff,

is the internet infrastructure worth joining a coalition to protect?
would ATS support extending our voices to this group?
do you feel that ATS has a responsibly to stay open for users?

please i would like to know,
will the owners support this group voice for freedom on the net?

While this coalition isn't right for us, as you point out we aren't an infrastructure company, we're a media company, we do support the IAB and go to Washington DC every year to lobby Congress to keep the internet free of onerous and wrong headed regulations.

So yes, we do support a thriving internet.

thank you for your reply

i love the fact that ATS is acting in a way to keep the webz open and free,
and i personally thank you for the time and effort you put into the cause,

could ATS members supply any support to you in your efforts?
polling members for suggested talking points,
numbers and opinions on subjects,
many a forum so we can keep up with your efforts and give support?

there are many like me who have no voice in this problem who would like to support the owners and operators of the sight and having a voice would mean alot to the members like me who feel powerless in the face of large companies and their legion of lobbyists.

i would love to engage WITH staff and be made aware of situations and legislation being discussed at the higher levels of ATS.

and find ways to support your efforts
