Aussies drink a lot of beer, so we tend to make pretty good beer commercials.

That was great!! I'm pretty sure Americans drink a fair bit of beer too. Beer seems to be universal to all cultures. Where I am we only get Fosters commercials, I had never heard of the beer being advertised in your post. I know, oh the horror.

This might sound mean and reprehensible but we don't drink Fosters here. It is considered "for export only" aka not fit for human consumption

According to the latest 2012 WHO report, Australia is no 2 in the world for alcohol and other drug abuse per capita. Doesn't make sense does it (lucky country) ??

The problem is we don't have a "culture" or identity as such, being a young country and all. There is no meaning in people's lives so drugs fill the void.

Being American, I am allowed to make fun. Not to say it isn't embarrassing, it is, but hey if the shoe fits............. I agree that it could apply to other countries too.
