Baby Boomers: stop apologizing?

so, tonight I was thinking about how a lot of the BB generation apologizes for spending all of the money, for making us so reliant on their parents, for not really raising their kids "right."

here's what I think:

I kind of THANK you. I think this COULD be what brings ABOUT this revolution that everyone wants.
you've taught us kids that there ARE other things in life besides working to live. (what everyone is being forced to do now.)
you gave us security so that we can enjoy life a little longer.
and maybe BB's children will be the ones to voice out against having to work all day to LIVE
we're trying. occupy is kind of a flop in america. but who knows.


anyways. just a random thought. and I wanted to say thank you. and that anyone who does feel sorry for their generation. (not saying everyone does)
maybe you shouldn't
maybe you're bred the revolutionary kids.
the kids just need to grow some balls (for lack of a better word, sorry.) and actually DO something.

just my thoughts.

OK I'm from the UK, where the baby boomers benefitted from free University education, free healthcare and a Job for life. Now many of those who became millionaires and billionaires, who now have created loopholes in the system and tax havens, where they hide their money and avoid the tax.

So they basically took from the pot and when they made their fortunes, decided that they would avoid paying back into the pot. So now the young must pay thousands for their education, free healthcare no longer a gaurentee and a Job for life, a thing of the past.

I'm mainly directing this to those who have chosen to avoid paying their taxes where they now horde their money in off shore accounts.

Your welcome....and there is no apology forthcomming, same goes for any inheritance - we have decided to downgrade from the McMansion, cash in the investment portfolio, make a seachange and travel the world until we drop.

yeah, they feel really guilty. Or entitled

they DID leave their kids education up to the State
they DID leave their retirement up to the State
they DID pretend that everything would exponentially grow so we would always have work.
they DID get pacified by the 80s economy boom.
they DID sell off their real property as investments, not to keep it in the family

and now,

they want their SS
they want their retirement pension
they want to spend and die broke

all the while their children reassemble the lies and try to live despite rampant corruption. unfortunatly, giving entitlements to the older gen only takes from the younger. This has been calculated to keep young and old separate and bitter against each other. Im guilty for my part----

the question is, what will they do now--when they see there offspring living shorter lifespans and without private property of any kind.

they dont call it a depression for nothing.

i think they have failed the next generation. At least I know how that happened.

I am a baby boomer and I am 57 years old.My husband is 76
and still works full time as an IT specialist for the government.
He can't retire because we have been helping our grown children
for many years.
We have maxed out our credit and lost all of our savings.Our children
don't like asking for help and we can't let them depend on the state.
All that our children want is a decent job and affordable housing.The jobs
are all gone or nearly so.Most jobs that are available go to foreign
workers instead of american.
The boomers who made this country broke and the population nearly
destitute are in DC.You want to do something to change this,then
vote these scum out of office.

The rights of ordinary people are being eroded by design.
It suits those with their own agenda well for the young to blame the old.
