Karen Unruh-Wahrer, collapsed in her home on a few short hours after seeing her son's body, Army Spc. Robert Unruh, a combat engineer with the 44th
Engineer Battalion. Robert was stationed in Iraq less than a month before he was killed. Friends of Karen claim that she had been unable to quit
crying after her son's death, autopsy results have not been released. The two were buried side by side at the Southern Arizona Veterans Military
Cemetery.

SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (Oct. 9) - An Army soldier killed in Iraq and his grief-stricken mother, who died a week later, were buried alongside one another
Friday, hailed as "both heroes in their own right, and casualties of war."
"We're here today to pay our respects and to honor the passing of two great American heroes," said Chaplain (Maj.) Thomas McFarland.
