I had the honor of being a colleague and associate, on friendly terms but not quite a personal friend, in the early years of the shuttle program. She was a classy human being and well deserved the role of role model..

I am sad to hear this, as she was a role model to many of the youth at that time. She will be sincerely missed and you are lucky to have had the chance to know her.
