Faced with a choice between Hosni Mubarak's ex-prime minister and an Islamist candidate, Egyptians entered their latest round of elections in an atmosphere of suspicion, resignation and worry, voting in a presidential runoff that will mean the difference between installing a remnant of the old regime and bringing more Islam into government.

Seems like Egypt is now learning about that good old two-party system of "Democracy." This completely sums up the meaning of the phrase "Choosing the lesser of two evils." Would you choose a remnant of the old regime or right-wing religious extremists? Sounds a bit like American elections.

Something is not right here. Only last Thursday was the parliament dissolved with the reason being that there were not enough independents in parliament. www.abovetopsecret.com...

Now not even a week later and the next round of voting is under way with only two options for who will be president? Whatever is going on is going to take a lot of research, it does not sound good what ever it is.
