Very nice find, I must say.
I have to wonder though... Why do we compare every stone monument we find nowadays to ancient egypt? I understand that the great pyramid was the
TALLEST manmade structure that we know of for nearly 4000 years, but so what? There are ancient civilizations that we know of in detail, like the
Sumerians, who built advanced societal structures long before the Egyptians did. If we find an ancient building or monument that it hundreds of feet
tall, then I would see cause to compare it to the great pyramid.. But otherwise it just seems like a mention of attention-grabbing.
Obviously this is not directed at the OP, but the article itself. Just a rant.
