As a family (of 4) I believe a combined income of £60,000 (US$96,300)

West Yorkshire, Leeds I'd say around 30k for a single person and around 40-45k for family.

Nice car, mortgage, 2 holidays a year and such. I just base this on been able to live a life without worrying about money and budgeting, allowing you to buy the nice things and live a nice life.

Canada:
single person can get by on 18000$... assuming you live in an aparment and don't eat too fancy.

35000-40000 per year income for a crap house

60000$ for a decent house
