Kecksburg

I'm from Pennsylvania so can anyone tell me what happened at Kecksburg

In 1965 a russian satalite crashed landed in Kecksburg PA. A few locals saw the downed satalite and the Cyrillic writing on the outside and the red glow of the heated metal and thought it alien in origin.

The USAF and other agencies tracked the decent of the satalite as it fell through the atmosphere. Shortly after the crash USAF personel showed up in Kecksburg and sealed off the area and retrieved the satalite. The event as hushed up as much as possible in hopes the russians would not know the US had retrieved a down Russian satalite.

Ove the last 40 years the stories of the event have been embelished by witness and others to create a description of a alien craft. While the satalight was acorn shaped it was covered in Cyrillic characters not "alien heiroglyphs", it did suffer damage in the impacts, and it didn't give off any radiation.
