Suicide vests found in Afghan defence complex

Eleven suicide vests have been found at the defence ministry compound in Afghanistan, which also houses the residence and office of the Afghan president.

Al Jazeera's James Bays, reporting from the Afghan capital, Kabul, said on Tuesday that while this information had not yet been formally released by the authorities, a number of arrests had already been made.

"Al Jazeera has been told by a high level intelligence service source that the 11 suicide vests, packed with explosives and used by suicide bombers, have been found inside the ministry of defence headquarters - one of the most secure, heavily guarded buildings in the Afghan capital," said Bays.

Isn't it just shocking that sucide vest packed with explosives have been found inside this high security compound.

"It's a very secure building because it is on a compound that is not accessible to the general public ... It is in the same compound where President Hamid Karzai lives and works," said Bays.

But , at least they have been found, arrests have been made. We can all breathe easy again.


Like, its not as if the security forces and the terrorists are one and the same? That would just be plain nuts wouldn't it? You couldn't possibly have security forces supplying sucide vests, could you?

(We know what Assad has been getting up to in Syria.)

How many other countries could those in power actually be carrying out attacks on people too and claiming its terrorists? The mind boggles.

So sick of what the human race has become.

Your theory isn't too far fetched, however I'm not too confident talking about the middle east as my knowledge regarding that area and its history isn't too clear for me.

Take the CIA for example, suposedly they are involved with all kinds of crimes including arms deals, drugs etc. So I wouldn't be surprised if the security services got hold of the vests themselves. A lot of agencies do some spookie stuff, not just western ones.

Who says they are not really terrorists? It's Islam, did you really think no one would ever find suicide vests or that they never used them?

Go to the library and do a microfische search of the last 40 years of suicide bombings and see what you come up with, it ain't pretty.
