I have this idiot friend.
He doesn't believe that there is headset targetting systems for military aircraft and I know they exist, but can't find any information on them to prove it to my "friend".

Also as well, does anyone know anything about "wire guided missiles?"
As far as I know and think, they don't exist but I thought it would be good to ask since my "friend" thinks these exist to.

Great to trip him up on two things

The Cobra and Apache helos' guns move with the pilots head. Also there's a laser thing for the Mig 29.

Search TOW for wire guided stuff.

A basic search of the WWW will yield great amounts of information.

Google search for Wire Guided Missile
Google search for helmet targeting system

Forward some of those results to your buddy.

And especially many anti-tank missiles have used wire guiding, propably one of the most famous of them is TOW

Also "fishs" (aka torpedoes) have wire guidance option.

Yep, with high off-boresight missiles you can literally shoot enemy in behind you if you just can see him.

Could anyone tell me exactly how these worked? It looks like they are projecting onto clear glass. Is this at all similar to holographic rifle sights?
Thanks
