Ok - one reasonable explanation might be it's a display issue. The seven looks like a four because the display isn't lighting up correctly. Happens all the time on cheap digital displays made in China.

Or - most likely, it's a time wasting hoax/prank/bad joke.

i was just about to point out the red herring brand, also has the possibility that your children altered your watch as some sort of joke? me and my brother used to do stuff like that to my dad all the time but i like to see that you are keeping an open mind on the subject. my opinion is that it probably is just a cheap shoddy watch. you get what you pay for when it comes to watches.

I can see the gallows from the moist ridden dungeon, the only thing keeping me company last night were the rats, even they were to busy feasting on a dead cat that guards had thrown on the stone paved floor as my last meal.
