Ok, so on Sunday, I'm flying to Pittsburgh, PA. Also in First Class, I see a monk in full getup. I mean the brown robe, rope around the waist, sandals, skullcap, haircut, etc. Ok, good day at the collection plate? Special mission for the Vatican? Rich Relative? Not to mention he's slamming down Jack and Coke, hehe....

What gives?

I wasn't aware there were still orders that dressed this way?
If there are, I would think they'd be a bit more traditional?
Would such sects allow the consumption of hard liquor?
Man of the cloth or man of the coin?

Not that I have a real problem with it, I think most know how much I'm against organized religion anyhow, but this just struck me as rather odd... Any ideas as to what sect he might be?

probably doing some kind of tour all expenses paid by a second party...

either that or he is a member of the Drunk Monk Mafiosa on a mission from god to liberate a hairy ass nun...

one or the other is plausable...

(I also have it on good authority that Saddam may have escaped the clutches of the US government and is using religious wear to hide his identity...
