George Washington's Prophetic Vision- Real or interesting folklore (?)

Ok, to start things off, I haven't come across any infomration that proves that this vision actually happened. There is simply no documentation that connects Washington to a Valley Forge vision. However... the account of the vision, itself, is very interesting.

Why is it interesting? Because it is both reminiscent of the John Titor stuff and the current US political situation. At the very least it ads a layer of colorful mythology to the nation's founding father:

In short, the 'Vision' holds that America will face three great perils. Wars resembling the Civil war and WW2 are described. A third event involves the destruction of US cities and a battle with the world's nations. Though devastated, the US survives (with the help of 'white spirits' from the sky) and emerges victorious.

Now... one can read anything they want into the vision... but it's interesting, nevertheless.
