Palestinians barred from Dead Sea beaches to 'appease Israeli settlers'

Palestinians are being regularly and illegally barred from reaching Dead Sea beaches in the occupied West Bank, according to a Supreme Court petition filed by Israel's leading civil rights organisation.

The salt-saturated sea is the only open water accessible to Palestinians from the otherwise landlocked West Bank.

Acri says that the ban is to appease Israeli settlers operating concessions along the Dead Sea's northern shore. They fear losing Jewish customers if there are large numbers of Arab

What a resort
What a place to go, beautiful waters all around why you exercise on a large balcony with a a beautiful view a few altitudes up

Looks like a place I would LOVE to visit!

But behind the facade is quite disgusting

Remember one thing, all the news anchors and journalists who dislike people who believe in freedom within private businesses and say such things as "Would you be okay with businesses being allowed to restrict black customers entering the establishment" will all shut their mouths about this.

It boggles my mind when anyone denies another person from visiting a certain place on this planet.

Nobody owns land. Sure on paper they do. Just like oil, nobody owns the oil. Its on the earth, in fact everyone holds a piece of it, yet a few decided they own it all and sell it back to us for a price.

Once we get over this ownership phase of life, I think things will start to get better.

If they let Palestinians go there,
then they would have to bomb the place
and it would be a shame to spoil such a nice area

it's nice, you can go there, israeli's can go there, just not palestinians who live a few miles from the beach.

and what are israeli "settlers" doing that far east. the peace process is joke.

Unfortunately, this type of thing is not unusual in the Occupied West Bank. Israeli settlers are well known for going crazy and being violent in an attempt to bully Palestinians out of their land.
