I just last week registered Republican after being registered Democrat for 15 years just so I can vote for Paul in the California caucus. Most of the people I associate with are Liberal Democrats and they are making the switch since California is bass ackwards.

I wonder how many people feel the same way I do. I'm tired of the lying hypocritical politicians. Ron Paul came along and made me passionate again.

I will NOT be voting for anyone other than him PERIOD

If he isn't on the ballot, I will write his name in. I hate the whole crooked system. Our country is not going to survive unless we get back to the constitution.

There are several good repub. canditates other than romney, that is the problem.

In my opinion (a phrase you should perhaps consider adding to your OP, as it all seems to be opinion-based), I don't see several good republican candidates.

If I am to be honest, my conscience will only allow me to vote for one of the current candidates, the very one you are saying people will not vote for. A bit ironic, though I do get what you are saying.

But that's just my opinion.

I feel the same. There is only one person i'd vote for, and we should as a matter of principle. Many of you will agree that Paul will not get the chance. Not because he isn't electable. They want someone who looks worse than obama so he can get re-elected with the "least resistance". The alternatives to Paul are a variation of the same theme, and would only escalate the dire situation we are in.

Sit back and enjoy the show; the game is almost over. They want us disallusioned when paul gets marginalized and obama gets a second term. Some of us welcome it. Simply because even if Paul did get the presidency, he'd be fighting a one man battle against a corrupt congress. Some of us welcome the collapse simply because change will be good for this country, and its our best opportunity to start over. Economic collapse and hyperinflation here we come.

They said Ronald Reagan was unelectable too, because he was too old. They were wrong then and they are wrong now. If George W. Bush proved to be electable for his second term maybe we need to re-define the phrase.

As soon as Ron Paul becomes a viable canditate, getting more than all the other repub. canditates, he will be scrutinized by the media so much that he will drop back amoung the last place. Romney is most electable, just because he knows how to duck and cover when it comes to politics. He also carries himself in a presidential way. Unfortinuately this matters more to the undecideds than the issues. There are several good repub. canditates other than romney, that is the problem. If it were only Romney and Newt, for example, then Romney would be way behind in the polls.

Rep. Paul is the only real Republican candidate.
1) Independents will vote for Ron Paul
2) Ron Paul supporters will not vote for any other Republican candidate.
3) The other republican voters who don't support Ron Paul don't matter that much. Most are sheep.
4) I dare say Ron Paul would mop the floor running as a third party Candidate with just his Republican supporters and Independent voters and dissatisfied voters.
5) The only way Obama can win is if the Republican "Elite" rig the election so one of their choices win and Republican's don't show up to vote.

And I think your anti-Paul bias is based on that fact. Based upon your location, your bias is understandable. A Detroit wouldn't exist without considerable funds from the Federal Government.

The only reason you think there are no good republican canditates is that the liberal media has already made up your mind for you. Think about if they took such care with their questions of the liberals and democrats as with conservatives and republicans. The media, tv, newspapers, are not unbiased like they should be, instead they are liberal now if you haven't noticed. So that means democrats will not be called on the carpet for their mistakes like the media will do to any republican canditate. Journalism has sold out to the liberal and socialist view somehow.

The reason to think there are no good Republican candidates (besides Dr. Paul) is because the candidates aren't any good. Mitt "Corporations are People My Friend!" Romney, Newt "Keeps His Willy Fresh for the Ladies" Gingrich, and Rick "Obama Hasn't Killed Enough Brown People" Santorum are execrable sub-humans. Not as "sub-human" as our sitting president, but they'll all wear his suit.

Contrary to your statements, Ron Paul is the *ONLY* candidate that is Electable.

The rest are shills.

BUT Paul on the other hand. Paul will automatically get the Republican support, so Romney's followers do transfer to Paul. Liberals like Colbert and Bill Maher have said they like Paul. Blue Dog Democrats are closer to Paul than they are Obama. Paul can get support from both OWS and Tea Party folks. The young crowd will show up in mass to support Paul, and once Paul has the support of the Republican establishment, his fundraising will be able to compete with Obama's fundraising.

Paul is the only one that stands a chance in November.

Judging by the audience's reaction to his "golden rule" proposal at the most recent debate, I doubt seriously that Ron Paul "will automatically get the republican support." In case you hadn't noticed, he very often draws the loudest boos in the room and we're talking about rooms that are dominated by republicans.

Don't get me wrong, Ron Paul's stance on foreign policy happens to be one that I agree with, but judging by the response of the purely republican audience at these debates, I wouldn't bank on their "automatic support."

IMO, Ron Paul is no more electable as a republican than Ralph Nader was as a democrat.

Saying someone is not electable is a creepy mantra that foes want to embed into your mind.

Yea... you're right OP. So let's all just vote for the establishment's same ol political whores, just like we've always done. Because THAT has worked SO well, hasn't it? Gimme a break. If more people don't stop slurping up the propaganda koolaide then the ONLY people who will EVER get elected are the ones THEY choose --- as has always been the case up till now. The problem is, this is the end game --- the proverbial 2-minute-warning. If we as a People continue to do the same old thing, support once again the status quo, we will be truly and forever screwed. The writing is on the wall. If you can't see it you are deaf, dumb and blind. We have to do a complete Ctrl-Alt-Del on the system NOW before we run out of time --- if we haven't already.

You're rigtht, Ron Paul is probably not "elcetable." I'm not sure any candidates are elcetable. I don't even know if I'M elcetable.

You should really read F A Hayek's "Road to Serfdom" or try a little history of Soviet Russia or Red China.

There is no such thing as "not electable", that is a fake concept made up by the MSM. Other than their individual votes, the MSM doesn't have any grounds to define if someone is electable or not. Only idiots would believe this and this is why we are where we are now, putting up with the same crap every four years.

Ya, that shocked and appalled me. Who boos the Golden Rule?
That was out of this world, never seen anything like it! Aren't Republicans supposed to be religious, but they boo the golden rule?
