As I was browsing the John Birch Society web page as it has been several weeks since my last visit, what stuck out to me was the headline that the Council on Foreign Relations is now calling for bombing Iran. This is not a group to be taken lightly; they are one of the most powerful forces on the international stage. Many influential people both behind the scenes and in front are members of this organization. When a member of the CFR comes out in support of something, it is very likely to transpire.

But skeptics of military action fail to appreciate the true danger that a nuclear-armed Iran would pose to U.S. interests in the Middle East and beyond. And their grim forecasts assume that the cure would be worse than the disease -- that is, that the consequences of a U.S. assault on Iran would be as bad as or worse than those of Iran achieving its nuclear ambitions. But that is a faulty assumption. The truth is that a military strike intended to destroy Iran’s nuclear program, if managed carefully, could spare the region and the world a very real threat and dramatically improve the long-term national security of the United States.

The author of said article in Foreign Affairs magazine was Matthew Kroenig; in his author biography at the link it states he is a member of the CFR. Further evidence is mounting that an attack on Iran will happen but no one is saying when it will happen. Perhaps Iran will go through with its promise of closing the Strait of Hormuz in retaliation to the impending sanctions; that would provide American legitimacy for an attack.

Newt Gingrich is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Mitt Romney has many close political associates who are members of the CFR. We are in a bad situation my friends.

Here's the part that made me raise an eyebrow:

But skeptics of military action fail to appreciate the true danger that a nuclear-armed Iran would pose to U.S. interests in the Middle East and beyond.

So what exactly are these "US interests" ?!
Like as if those of us paying attention don't already know...

These dummies reveal their true colours every time they open their idiotic pieholes, and are arrogant enough to think we don't catch their Freudian slips.

CFR member can go and screw himself.

For centuries we have endured their nosing and attacks and occupation.

Well, NO MORE.

They are not even aware of what they are unleashing if they go ahead with their "game" any further.

Found an interesting interview with Henry Kissinger about the current situation in the middle east, especially iran and russia/china

Henry Kissinger: "If You Can't Hear the Drums of War You Must Be Deaf"

NEW YORK - USA - In a remarkable admission by former Nixon era Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger, reveals what is happening at the moment in the world and particularly the Middle East.

Having read the link.....and you've got to remember that Kissinger is a man in the know, if you take all he say's seriously - HIS LITTLE SPEECH IS "# THE BED" SCARY !!!!

That the US is provoking China and Russia into confrontation, and that hopefully half of the middle east will become Isreal??
And not to mention the west will prevail because we have a generation of kid's who have grown up playing "medal of honor" and "call of duty" so they're better prepared???

And to top it off Kissingers comment about new arms that would be used at the appropriare time !!
Hold onto your hat's...2012 is going to be a bumpy ride.

That is a nice thought but not one based in reality IMO. The UK will be right there with the US as well as our other allies.

"In October 2010, the US negotiated a $67 billion deal with Saudi Arabia to supply the latter with bunker-buster bombs, F-15 fighter jets, Black Hawk and Apache helicopters, Patriot-2 missiles and warships. It is, in simple terms, the largest bilateral weapons deal in US history.

One month later, in November, the Wall Street Journal revealed that the United States will provide the United Arab Emirates with “thousands of advanced ‘bunker-buster’ bombs and other munitions, part of a stepped-up US effort to build a regional coalition to counter Iran.”

Washington also plans to supply Stinger and other missiles to Oman. Kuwait is in for $900 million worth of Patriot missiles. And a $53-billion arms deal with Bahrain is still on the agenda – delayed only because of pressure from international lawmakers and human rights groups.

So the United States is increasing military ties with its allies, one might claim. And it is true, but all those allies are conveniently located in the Persian Gulf…right next to Iran. "
