Just a quick question to Bible scholars.
When Herod and the Roman Leader met discussing Christs upcoming execution it is written that during that encounter that Herod and the Roman Guy became friends.

Has anyone pondered much on the significance of this satement in the new testement?

Did Judea and rome at that moment forge an alliance?

Were the soldiers who conquered the Germanic tribes in fact Jewish?

Did the Jewish leaders and the Romans conspire the temples destruction?

In order for the Jews to conquer the Barbaric North?

No need for an alliance - Judea was already under Roman law...that's why the Pharisees had to get approval from Rome for the crucifixion

Herod was an Edomite, a puppet king of the Jews. Purposely placed in leadership over them because of hatred for the Jews, and their hatred of Edomites. The throne of David, or the rulers from the tribe of Judah, were not on the throne anymore at the time of Christ.
