By using liquid nitrogen and some magnets researchers are able to do some pretty amazing things!
Could this possibly be the future of our railway system of transportation?

I hope so - I still want my hover board and I don't have a flux capacitor to go back to the future to get one. Awesome thread, interesting thanks for sharing!

I don't know about 'quantum' levitation, but magnetic levitation works fine.
Course, it will be difficult to freeze the tracks (especially in the summer)

Check out Howard Johnson....

Let me sum up Phage's post. No. It's not feasible at all, but extraordinarily amazing nonetheless.

Magnetic trains? Impossible!
That was the response Eric Laithwaite got from the English government when he tried to sell them his 'maglev' idea.
It's been running in Tokyo for years, and more recently in Germany.
But to some people it's still 'impossible'..............
