As soon as Russia backed Syria and China gave some supporting statements toward Pakistan and Iran, there was a huge back down. Just saying. --------------------

The back down only comes as the policy wonks are fearful that their words may have repercussions. NATO/Pentagon always plans for a failure in diplomacy. That's their job.

It is a convulated mess ain't it?

The top strategist minds in the world operate in Washington, and they know of every possible way to skin a cat.

Every target has an outstandingly real potential of fighting back. The idea is to incapacitate your target, prevent them returning any fire of measure.

There is a method to their madness and they are incredibly good at their jobs.

It's all a risk against reward process and I doubt pissing Russia and China off is worth the oil that Syria and Iran hold, especially since Iran is a very powerful nation with a large military and high tech equipment and Syria's freinds the Russian's have about half the world's nuke's.
