Bought a two kilograms of slow roast beef for the holidays family coming over,can i cook it in slow cooker ,and if so how long.Can anyone help please...............

Yeah you can make a basic pot roast. Here is a basic recipe...www.foodnetwork.com...

I would not use the bullion cubes or cognac. Chicken stock is good but I think a good quality mushroom broth is an even better addition.

Just remember to let it cook slowly. It takes a long time to break down the muscle of such a tough cut of meat.

Here is a good and easy recipe. Takes about 8hrs...

You need a crock pot though.

You can add whatever veggies you like, I usually add carrots, potatoes, onion and mushrooms half way through.
