AS PROTESTS against financial power sweep the world this week, science may have confirmed the protesters' worst fears. An analysis of the relationships between 43,000 transnational corporations has identified a relatively small group of companies, mainly banks, with disproportionate power over the global economy.

When the team further untangled the web of ownership, it found much of it tracked back to a "super-entity" of 147 even more tightly knit companies - all of their ownership was held by other members of the super-entity

A small group of companies all owned by the same people that run EVERYTHING, they are all so interconnected so much that it comes down to a 'SUPER ENTITY' of 147 companies that run it all!!

hope springs eternal though... it is my firm belief that in decades people will look back on the internet as the thing that most changed the world...

Access to information has empowered everyone ( just look at the worlds protests atm)

People are starting to wake up, and this is our hope, ignorance is no longer bliss as its hard to be ignornt when a wealth of information is at your fingertips..

Question is.... is it too late? now we can all see the networks laid bare by more empowered societies... have we still time to act? i will leave that up to you.
