One of the main architects of the single European currency, Jacques Delors, has said the eurozone was flawed from the beginning.

All coming out now, everyone knew this at the time, but just let it go on..

maybe not having 500 and 200 note denominations would have helped the euro. the only people who actually benefit from those notes are drug traffickers, corrupt officials and organized crime.

that pretty much sums up europe.

2 wealthy trillionaires had a bet when the euro was introduced.
The coins and banknotes were launched on the 1st of January 2002.
On new years day 2002 one of the men bet the other that the currency would be withdrawn before the 10th anniversay.
The bet was for 1 euro .
Playing the roue methinks.

the euro could never have worked because all the countries have different economies and life styles .
the gross national wages of some of the countries in the union differ so much .
take for example Bulgaria who trade in both the euro and the lev , the average wage is around £1000 per year
most other countries in the union make more than that per month.
