Lol love this kind of stuff 18 footer well about when i was 14 (46 now) there's was a live news cast JUST like this one except the 25 foot Fishing boat had caught a great white and the shark towed the boat 500 miles .
anyway the news copter was above the boat the shark was right up against the boat (rember the part 25 foot boat well the shark was MUCH longer then the boat they estimated that shark at 36 feet!!! .
and national geographic caught a 23 foot hammer head and dredged up NONE follisised sharks teeth 4 inch's long like a arrow head shaped and they estimated that shark that lost thous teeth could have been NEARLY 100 feet long.
Melgadon mite not be extinct (of corse he just looks like a great white to me anyway and who knows just how big they get or even how long they live I read they may live 300 years and being a fish are GROWING the whole time so a 100 feet is quite possible .Nothing that large would ever come near shallow waters
