Probably not the belt, but a light one by hand. Your right. The belt is a tad excessive for a 3 year old.

I didn't say anything about BEATING a kid. My old man swatted my legs with a belt, and left no marks. I'm sorry yours didn't hold back. Abuse is never something to take lightly. Take care, my friend.
