Detectives investigating claims of payments to police officers have arrested a 48-year old News International journalist.

The man is understood to be Jamie Pyatt, who works for The Sun.

He was arrested by detectives working on Operation Elveden, which is looking at allegations of inappropriate payments to police.

More continuing news over the phone hacking scandal in the UK and the Bribing of Police Officers in the Met in London.

I do wonder if we will ever get to the bottom of the over all numbers of Officers in each force in the UK who, might have been paid to give out information or data with regards to arrests etc, to journalists who have used these details to publish a sensational headline or article.

Those who are found to have been paid need kicked out of the Police force once and for all. If the Police Authority wants to have any trust gained back from the public.
