Satirical Magazine Is Firebombed in Paris

The office of a French satirical magazine here was badly damaged by a firebomb early on Wednesday, the publisher said, after it published a spoof issue “guest edited” by the Prophet Muhammad to salute the victory of an Islamist party in Tunisian elections. The publication also said hackers disrupted its Web site.

It's a satirical leftist newspaper existing from 1960, which usually parodies rightwing, christianity and judaism. But this time, they dared to parody Islam...

A petrol-bomb attack has burned their building this night.

I cant believe its 2011 and humans are acting like this over cartoons

Imagine if someone was in the building when the attack happened? This could have easily ended far uglier. Apparently its no longer safe in France to parody Islam.

I wonder if the magazine will still be so left-wing, if they publish again after this..
