At least two armed robbers have taken hostages and are holed up inside a
Sydney bank. All staff have left the building safely, but armed police have now entered the premises. It is not known whether the assailants are still in the building.

Five heavily armed police have entered a Sydney bank and are taking through a megaphone to robbers and hostages believed to be inside.

Two women were earlier brought out of the St George Bank in Military Road, Cremorne, by police.

It is believed at least two armed robbers are holed up inside.

Police in body armour took the women to an armoured police vehicle and drove away.
