Global wealth up more than 20 per cent - Says Credit Suisse

EMERGING nations propelled global wealth in 2011 to $226 trillion from $191 trillion in 2010, Swiss banking giant Credit Suisse said today.

In five years' time, total global wealth is expected to soar further, by 50 per cent to $337 trillion, with China surpassing Japan to become the second richest nation as the country's total household wealth rises by $17.6 trillion to $38 trillion.

Well i guess that happens when you make money out of thin air.

I dont think this is accounting for debt because:


Despite the financial and economic crises, the US remains the world's richest nation by far and is projected to report total wealth of $79 trillion by 2016, the Global Wealth Report added.


Just more examples of the media trying to advert peoples attention from the looming economic destruction.

if the total global wealth has risen in dollars, surely the concept of inflation just means that everybody's dollar(pound/yen whatever) is worth less. The value of currency only makes sense relatively ie. compared to other currencies, so, as a planet, who exactly is our money worth more compared to now?
