I have been watching the earthquake activity on the live earthquakes map (globalincident.com), and things have definitely been heating up. The earthquakes you mention are in an area that hasn't had much activity at all. Wonder if this is a harbinger to a possible volcano eruption in Iceland...?

The Ring of Fire in the Pacific region is also quite active lately. Honshu, Japan has been getting quakes of at least 4.0 or greater every day for several weeks already. California has been shaking with little quakes like it has palsy. There has been several earthquakes just north of Little Rock, Arkansas as well.

I'm not a seismologist, but yesterday there were quite a few quakes over 4.0. Not sure what this means, but it makes for interesting study.

I follow the latest earthquakes also and Iceland is a quiet area. Did a quick google and found that the last large quake was in 2000 according to this site:

The 6.1 magnitude tremblor struck about 3:46 p.m. (11:46 a.m. ET), according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Its epicenter was about 50 km (31 miles) east-southeast of the capital, Reykjavik, and was about 10 km (6.2 miles) below the Earth's surface.

there have been four quakes now...
all in almost exactly the same location.
...something worth watching, perhaps.


with that said though...
Japan hasn't stopped shaking since the tsunami. They have multiple earthquakes daily between 4.5 and 6... and nobody seems to bat an eyelid anymore. What's with that?

I dunno,. the October 11th or the 19th, or the 28th
something like that,. it relates to the recent uptic in activity globally...

I have been watching and the intensity has increased this round.
I have my fingers crossed that there will be no more major stuff.
It could be volcanic activity at that depth it was felt i believe.
