I do believe the United Kingdom represents England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Great Britain I believe are the countries on the island: England, Scotland and Wales.

England is a country all it's own, just like the others.

Don't know what the flags mean.

The English Flag is the cross of Saint George

The Union Jack is England, Scotland and (Old) Ireland

The Irish flag used in the Union Jack no longer exists as Ireland is now split into two coutries
The reason why the Welsh flag isn't used is because Wales was under English rule when the flag was created, so the Welsh flag was not incorporated

(the old irish flag was a diagonal red cross on a plain white background)

Flags - Union Jack

the red cross on a white background is for St George the patron saint of ENGLAND, the union flag is for UNITED KINGDOM(GREAT BRITAIN) u.k. IS ENGLAND SCOTLAND IRELAND(northern ireland only) AND WALES.. the white X on a blue background is for scotland..
So the 'real ' flag for ENGLAND IS THE St GEORGE red cross on white background!!!!!!!!!!, anything else is just great britain or united kingdom..

PROUD TO BE ENGLISH!!!!
