United Kingdom, Great Britain and England. What exactly does each mean?
Also in respect to flags
red cross against a white background.......what does that represent
red and blue union jack..............................again what does that represent

The English Flag is the cross of Saint George
The Union Jack is England, Scotland and (Old) Ireland
The Irish flag used in the Union Jack no longer exists as Ireland is now split into two coutries
The reason why the Welsh flag isn't used is because Wales was under English rule when the flag was created, so the Welsh flag was not incorporated
(the old irish flag was a diagonal red cross on a plain white background)
Flags - Union Jack
Thanks, that clears up everything. Nice link as well BTW.
