5000 signatures dosn't really seem like enough to make any sort of impact on any sort of issue.....

Come on you guys, there is nothing to lose. If everyone on here from US signs plus the other UFO/conspiracy sites, you should easily make it though I'm sure it's been done before.

i don't even trust facebook nevermind a bloody whitehouse website.

these petitions are obviously a new type of census and information gathering system.

I have a tendency to agree with that, if the Disclosure Project is full of "insiders" and "respectible" people in the field then I doubt even an army of regular civilians could yield better results. Lets put a number on it, maybe 1mill signatures perhaps? Wow that is going to be a lot of tinfoil...

I really (again) don't understand.

ATS, the home of belief that society is controlled by a few powerful interests who don't care about the people, is going to ask the government to please tell us a closely guarded secret? Why should they? What do you expect even if there are 50,000 signatures or 5,000,000?

The website says

If a petition gets enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it’s sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response.

And you know what the official response will be.

I would like to get that information out as much as the next person, but this doesn't seem to be the way to go. Besides, you have to open an account to post there (if I read it right) and I'd rather not be that easily known, thank you.
