The surprise resignation of Wadah Khanfar as head of al-Jazeera

Well as many of us here have suspected for a long time now ,al-Jazeera is a tool for the american government ,and there seems to be evidence coming to light now.

The new boss of Al-Jazeera is Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani ,a executive at Qatargas and a member of the unbelievably wealthy Gulf country's ruling dynasty.

Al Jazeera played an early and influential role in covering — some would say encouraging — the unrest in Tunisia and Egypt last winter. It was even more aggressive in its focus on the regime of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi and the struggles of what it called “freedom fighters” in Libya, where Qatar came to play a major role in supporting the rebellion.

He also urged American officials to keep his behind-the-scenes collaboration a secret. He objected to an intelligence report’s written reference to an “agreement” between the United States and Al Jazeera.

Director-General of al-Jazeera Satellite Channel, Waddah Khanfar, resigned on Tuesday after he was found directly in contact with the US intelligence as well as fabricating news on the events in Syria, Yemen and Libya. Moreover, Director of al-Jazeera Mubasher Channel, Aiman Jaballah, was fired because he took part in escalating the situation in Egypt, and the Channel's office in Cairo was closed.
