4 killed as typhoon approaches Japan

Four people have died in Nagoya, including a 66-year-old man who fell from a roof Tuesday while trying to fix a stuck duct, city authorities said. Two other people -- a fourth-grade boy and an 84-year-old man -- were missing in Gifu prefecture, authorities said.
People in the Tokai and Kanto regions should be prepared for heavy rain Wednesday, Kanda said, adding that the Kanto region may be most affected Wednesday evening.
The center of Typhoon Roke, which had sustained winds of up to 167 kph (103 mph) Wednesday morning, could hit Japan's Tokai region, which includes Nagoya city -- or the Kanto region, which includes Tokyo -- in the afternoon, Japan Meteorological Agency chief forecaster Yutaka Kanda said at a news conference.

Folks, I feel bad for Japan, pray for them because
that is about all we can do from our seats.

This typhoon has not even hit yet and four people are already dead.

How much more can Japan take..

I am not Japanese but I would be getting the hell out of there if I was them,.

They should follow all evacs..

Well said and I agree with all my heart. The Japanese are good folk and didn't deserve this train of disaster. They are in my thoughts and I hope the best for getting through this latest challenge.

We are all connected one way or another.

These people are in a SHTF scenario.

I feel for them being in this horrible situation.

I have been so impressed with the Japanese people in dealing with these horrible situations. I know they'll pull through and hopefully will get a break.
