I'm thinking that aliens would not invade at all.

It'd be more of Douglas Adams "Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy", where they just destrory Earth to make way for a Intersteller By-Pass.

It would be game over if they attack and they came from another solar system because that in its self would say there technology is way better than ours we wouldn't even know what hit us.
