that Silva Explorer in the picture I posted...is my compass of choice...
it comes with all the right scales and big enough to use as a straight edge when plotting a course...
Damn mine is like twenty years old now... so you know they last... just don't let a toddler get a hold of it... their not indestructible ya know

I'm pulling these right from my senior enlisted account at the training resource center...
To up and post your own would require you to upload them to your own website...and it can get a little expensive if you start running over your
monthly bandwidth ... still if you want to look into it I used to have an account over at 1and1 dot com... they have me lots of bandwidth pulse PHP
and a sql... for a not bad price...
Thanks for that. I've been navigating on the water most of my life.....well.....at least before GPS I did. I always figured if I could do celestial
navigation I could muddle through on land. It's nice to have land specific techniques though.
