I stumbled across this short blog while researching activist being arrested for feeding the homeless. It seems this is an ongoing trend with cities around the US; arresting activist for violating city ordinances, not having permits or licenses. Anything to get them to stop helping the homeless.

This site is starting a movement to both protest the injustice from the governments and to feed the hungry.

National Sandwich Day – November 3rd 2011.

Want to get involved in this movement? Easy, you already are! Everyone can make an impact no matter how small. All you have to do is:
1. Make a pledge to help out November 3rd, 2011.
2. Spread the word - tell your friends, family, co-works and social networking groupies.
3. Get cracking - make a sandwich 11/3/2011 and deliver it to a person in need.
